On March 21, the Center for European Studies-IE, in collaboration with IE Law School, organized the second seminar of the Global Judicial Forum. Under the chair of Daniel Sarmiento, référendaire at the European Court of Justice, András Sajó, judge at the European Court of Human Rights and Luis María Diez-Picazo, judge at Spanish Supreme Court, discussed the relations between the European Court of Human Rights and national courts.
After two wonderful presentations in which both speakers referred to cases of great interest such as the case Lautsi v. Italy or the case of Otegi Mondragon v. Spain, an interesting debate opened with the audience, during which judges of the Spanish Supreme Court, prosecutors from the Attorney General, State attorneys and IE Law School professors took the floor.
