Third seminar of the Global Judicial Forum, 2012

On July 3 2012, The Center for European Studies/IE organizes the third seminar of the Global Judicial Forum for the current academic year. After analyzing in previous seminars the selection of judges for the European Court of Justice and for the European Court of Human Rights, this last seminar was centred on ” The Europeanization of judges in Spain: selection and training”.

The speakers were three experts of recognized prestige and with a wide experience: Carlos Espósito, Professor of Public international law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; Diego Córdoba, judge and President of the Administrative chamber of the Audiencia Nacional and Eduardo Menéndez, jugde at the Audiencia Nacional, and member of the Network of Experts in European Union Law.

The presentations were followed by an interesting debate moderated by Daniel Sarmiento, in which they informed judges of the Supreme Court, lawyers and academics.
