Third Seminar Global Judicial Forum

On Thursday, May 12, 2011, the Center for European Studies-IE in collaboration with IE Law School and under the direction of Daniel Sarmiento, organized the third seminar of the Global Judicial Forum, entitled “Binding Precedent in International Arbitration. Dream, Coherence fairness or good-willed? “. Two experts, Prof. Alan Rau from the University of Texas, Austin and Prof. Victor Ferreres Comella, currently professor at the Spanish Escuela Judicial , opened the seminar with two presentations on therole of precedent in international arbitration.Then a very high-level debate started, in which judges of the Spanish SupremeCourt, lawyersand academics participated.
